learn the tenor and alto clef

Like Note Tutor, Tenor Tutor presents random notes on the staff. Your job is to identify the note correctly by touching one of the buttons A through G at the bottom of the screen. If you are right, you score a point, if you are wrong, you lose a point.

Two things are important when learning to read music: accuracy, and speed. Tenor tutor helps you to improve both. First, by penalizing you when you get a note wrong, you learn accuracy. Second, by showing you how many notes you are identifying correctly per minute, you can see how your speed is improving.

The C-Clef

Music for instruments such as the viola, trombone, bassoon, double bass, and violoncello is often written using the C-clef. There are two C-clef placements in regular use. The tenor clef places middle C on the fourth line of the staff. The alto clef places middle C on the third line of the staff.
